Legal Aid of Cambodia has played its very important unique role in improving and developing the rule of law in Cambodia through providing legal services to the Cambodia’s poor free of charge for both criminal and civil cases. Progresses made to the Cambodian legal and Judicial reform is recognized as the impact from LAC’s efforts with funding supports from our generous donors. Valuable financial and technical contributions from donor community made LAC available in providing its important work for Cambodia’s poor and this country to change people’s living condition with respecting to the rule of law. LAC is always looking for partner organizations to help us achieve our mission of providing legal representation for all Cambodians who may otherwise be denied access to the justice system. We achieve our goals through direct representation, training government officials, and advocacy both in the media and in the community. Cooperations

As identified as one of the specific strategic objectives in the LAC’s Strategic Plan, LAC is actively involved in coalitions or networks with NGOs and government to create a more effective support for its work. The Directors, Management Team members and some other key staff recognized the importance of good communication and cooperation with other NGOs, government agencies, UN agencies and donor communities. LAC is still playing its important roles in the context of cooperation, coordination and taking a lead in most of the human rights, social development, women and children networks.
